Painting Techniques to Demonstrate:

• Sgraffito: After applying a base coat, they can scratch patterns or silhouettes into the surface using a stylus or toothpick.
• Stenciling: Demonstrate stenciling for consistent shapes. Families can use stencils to add family members’ names, hearts, or other symbols.
• Layering Glazes: Teach families how to layer glazes to achieve depth and dimension. For example, they can paint a background color, let it dry, and then add details on top.
